The Mindset You Need to Build a Successful Business Blog

Okay, I’m gonna tell you the truth now about creating a successful business blog.

It’s not gonna be easy.

It’s gonna be hard.

But here is the great thing, there will be something amazing waiting for you on the other side. Something awesome that dragged you on this.

But before that, there will be sweat, tear, and countless sleepless nights.

There will be lots of hard work.

We all see the achievement and prosperity of successful people. But we don’t see the amount of effort they put in, the amount of pain they go through; how much they suffer.

You only see the success, not the dark days.

Anything that is great couldn’t be achieved without defeat, disappointment, and failure.

Ask any of the successful bloggers out there what they had to go through to get where they’re today.

Did you know?

Seth Godin woke up at 4 am every day to complete five blog posts a week.

4 AM, EVERYDAY SINGLE DAY!

Jon Morrow is still paralyzed from the neck down. But still, he owns a six-figure business.

He used to start at 8 AM  in the morning and worked until 11 PM.

That’s the amount of effort he put in to be where he is now. He took the risk, held on to his courage and took the leap of faith.

Now, see where he is now.

He proved that no matter where you’re now in your life, you can still be great.

Reaching to THAT amount of success needs THAT amount of dedication and hard work. The more you put in, the more you get out of it.

The Mindset for Creating a Successful Business Blog

Now you know that you gotta be hardworking and dedicated.

They are the pillars of success.

But they aren’t enough. The pillars will start the ball rolling. But to move ahead to the next level, you need to dive deep.

If you want to make it to the top,  you should start with embracing three core mindsets first.

These mindsets will help you to set the foundations so that you don’t fall.

Shall I explain them to you?

#1. The Mindset to Accept Rejections

Not all the darts you throw will hit the bull’s eye.

When you’re new to playing darts, you may not hit anywhere near the center. You may not even hit the board (perhaps)!

But gradually, after throwing a couple, you begin to hit closer to the bull’s eye. And after several attempts, finally, you hit the red spot.

That’s what exactly gonna be when you jump into blogging.

The first couple of months will be hard. You may not see results you expect.

But as soon as you catch some momentum, real results will start to emerge.

We all know that failure is a pillar of success. It’s true indeed. Instead of fearing, embrace it to learn from your mistakes. Thus you’ll see your way more clearly next time.

#2. The Mindset to Work Hard

As I said before, fearing hard work will not let you grab success.

It’s the bitter truth.

You’ve to embrace it. Earn your success. The more you work hard, then more you’ll feel satisfied when you achieve it.

Doesn’t it feel awesome?

Don’t you feel so great and so pleased when you work so hard to get a thing, and then finally you get it?

The success you get after intense hard work makes you more motivated. It kicks more enthusiasm in you to pursue that success more passionately.

There’s no reason to fear failure.

It makes you –

  • Stronger
  • Credible
  • Passionate
  • Successful

Let’s set aside blogging for a moment, every successful man in this world, no matter what industry they’re in, has worked incredibly hard to achieve that position.

From movie stars to sportspersons, every one of them has put sweat, tears, and passion in what they’re doing.

Don’t think what you have to go through. Think what is waiting for you on the other side.

#3. The mindset to improve you and your business every day

“Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there.”

– Will Rogers

As time passes, things change around us. New trends come up; people adopt new fashions.

What is working for you now may not work after a couple of years.

The lead acquisition strategy you’re holding onto now may not work at all after few years. As time passes, old strategies, fashions, and trends lose their acceptance and caliber. New strategies, styles, and trends arise as the old ones go down.

You need to keep up with those.

Otherwise, you’re left with the chances of falling. You’ll lose your influence over people. Your business may lose its potential and fail miserably.

Moreover, you may get run over by your opponent.

Listen to this story –

Suppose, you’re doing well with your blog. You provide the same useful content to your audience and interact well with your people.

Everything is going sound and straightforward.

But suddenly, another blog emerges, under the same niche you’re in with everything better than you.

Better blog design, better content, and better images than your blog. And it’s providing more value to its audience more than you provide to yours.

All on a sudden, you lose all your readership to that blog. Your readers turn their faces to them.

Your audience is SNATCHED AWAY from you.

Gone!

You weren’t doing anything wrong there.

But because of not improving yourself you lose your people to your competition.

Similarly, you have to upgrade your skills and infrastructure to stay ahead continually. Or else, you’ll get run down by your opponent.

What you should do in your first months –

Okay, now you know the mindsets you need to hold on to be a successful blogger.

But how do you start? What should you do in your first months?

Here is the answer –

You should spend your first few days in spreading your name out there.

Think of yourself as a product.

When a company brings out a new product on the market, what do they do?

They spend a lot of money and time behind marketing and promoting that product. Because the product is new on the market. Nobody knows about it. The company has to let people know that there is a new product on the market that can solve their problems better than the other ones.

If people don’t know about the product’s existence, how will they buy it?

Likewise, you need to let the world know that you’re here, ready to rock it!

Do these in the starting months –

    • Post often in your blog. Google bots constantly crawl around every website on the Internet. When they see new content on a website, they mark it as a valuable resource for people and push your website up in Google search results. That’s why posting regularly is so crucial in blogging success.
    • Devote much time on content promotion. You need your content to be in front of people’s eyes to make an impact. Most of the bloggers have this prejudice that if you publish content, people will automatically come to read, share and applaud. RED LIGHT! Never fall into this misconception.
    • Network with other bloggers. Networking with other bloggers goes a long way in your blogging career. Authentic relationships are essential parts of blogging success. Like-minded bloggers not only help you to grow your audience but can assist you in many ways.

Conclusion

Nothing is impossible if you’ve got the mindset. If you’re prepped up for what is coming ahead, then everything gets easier.

To be a top-notch blogger, you need the right mindset to go ahead. Otherwise, you may trip down several times.

What problems have you faced till now in your blogging journey?
