Let’s Talk About Kodi

XBMC i.e. Kodi is a free and open-source media player software application that was first created in 2002 as a homebrew media player application previously named Xbox Media Player for the first generation of Xbox gaming consoles.

It fast became known as XBMC before its final transformation into what we now know as Kodi.

Still used in millions of households and devices to stream movies, music, games and more. Kodi and its builds are as popular as ever and don’t seem to be going away anytime soon.

The ability to download Kodi on most operating systems is one of its major bonuses.

Windows, Mac OS X, Android, iOS, and Linux are more than capable and work relatively smoothly with Kodi without encountering any problems.

Kodi works with many different add-ons, but to experience Kodi’s true potential it’s best to use it in conjunction with a purpose-made all-in-one build

Builds

Compatible Kodi builds come out all the time, many of the established builds are also updated on a regular basis, so there’s no shortage of builds to choose from.

Installing a build is a must to get the best from Kodi, they’re purpose built all-in-ones that include everything from add-ons, skins, program guides, settings and much more that can be set up with a click of a button.

Boxes vs. Firesticks

Kodi can be installed on most devices, some of the most popular include smart TVs, tablets, smartphones, tv streaming boxes, and Amazon Firesticks.

Out of the above, two of the most popular and budget-friendly are the tv streaming box and Amazon Firestick.

As good as tv streaming boxes are, nothing beats the ease of use and affordability of the Amazon Firestick.

More often than not, the Amazon Firestick is inexpensive, powerful, and with better processing power.

Install a VPN, Kodi, and one of Kodi’s many compatible builds and you’ll be watching your favorite movies in no time!

No Limits Magic Build

One of the most popular and comprehensive Kodi builds is the No Limit Magic Build.

With a host of customizations, settings, and features, NLMB sits comfortably near the top for many regular users of Kodi.

Compatible with most operating systems and devices, No Limit Magic Build allows you to stream your favorite movies, tv series, music, sports, and more with relative ease.

Need an add-on? No problem! There’s a host of add-ons available for NLMB, cCloud TV, Yoda, Sports Devil, to name a few.

Titanium Build

Regularly updated and with a plethora of add-ons, Titanium is one of the most well thought of builds currently available.

Titanium is a multi-language build made for the global market.

Users can stream anything from sports to movies with an abundance of add-ons included, such as Gaia, DeathStar, Sports Devil, etc.

With an easy to use interface and plenty of Skin settings, you can do much worse than opt for the Titanium build for Kodi.

Streamline

If you’re after a build that works flawlessly with Kodi, then the Streamline build may be the one for you.

The Streamline is one of the few builds that are compatible with Kodi 18.1 to 18.5 Leia and also Kodi 17.6 Krypton.

Again, there are add-ons aplenty with the Streamline build, Exodus Redux, The Magic to name a few. Allowing the user to stream their favorite TV shows, sports streams, live TV and more.

This lightweight build offers the user great performance and allows it to run on devices with low RAM and processing power. So it is a great fit for something like the Amazon Firestick.

With a slick, easy to use design and interface, the Streamline build is not one to be overlooked.

So, Is Kodi Worth It?

Overall, Kodi can offer an alternative to the many monthly subscription services currently available and allow the user to stream everything from live sports to their favorite movies.

New builds and add-ons come to the market all the time, many if not all are free. So, when one build drops off, there’s always another to take its place.

Easy installation, low cost and the ability to install on most smart devices means Kodi won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.

Just remember though, always install a reputable build from a trustworthy source, it’s always better to be safe than sorry!

All in all, you can continue to sit back, relax, and watch your favorite shows from the comfort of your own home.
